Skyswood Stars - 23rd October

We celebrated another wonderful group of Skyswood Stars this morning in assembly and we are all incredibly proud of you. Here's the reasons behind your teacher's nominations:
Sophie (Nursery) - Resilience

Sophie is the Nursery star for showing wonderful resilience! She is becoming more confident and is relying less and less on her special toy, showing how brave and independent she is becoming.

 Joshua (Reception) - Resilience

Joshua has tried so hard in RWI and Literacy this week. He has listened in lesson time and has persevered with his handwriting. Well done Joshua!

 Ava (Year 1) - Rainbow

This week Ava has clearly shown all our values. She has been very kind and supportive to her peers, shown respect to children and adults alike but I have been particularly impressed with how hard she has worked this week. She has shown curiosity and resilience and has worked far more independently.

 Andrea (Year 2) - Respect

Andrea is always showing heaps of respect for her learning. Her work is always neat and she is always trying her best. She showed this attitude in maths this week when she found a subtraction method tricky. She listened to my re-explanation and was able to fix her mistakes independently. After the lesson she thanked me for helping her – showing so much respect for her teacher. Thank you Andrea for being such a joy to teach.

 Fraser (Year 3) - Curiosity

Fraser has had a brilliant week! His Mini Rabbit story was excellent and he applied himself so well. He also showed fantastic curiosity when we were excavating our rocks and fossils this week. He asked lots of good questions and challenged himself to learn more.

 Rhodri (Year 4) - Curiosity

Rhodri produced an excellent poem based upon ‘A Small Dragon’. He listened carefully to the input and thought of some inspirational noun phrases and prepositional phrases.

 Lucas (Year 5) - Curiosity

Lucas has been increasingly inquisitive and has also been asking questions and contributing more. He has produced some lovely creative writing and is generally more confident. This is delightful to see.

 Albi (Year 6) - Curiosity

Albi has worked exceptionally well at his maths this week. He has put extra effort into all tasks and this has enabled him to successfully tackle division. Additionally, Albi is improving week by week in his homework tasks. Great effort Albi – keep it up!
